Charlotte Sweet Bespoke Wedding Dress Designer

ABOUT / CHARLOTTE SWEET

Charlotte Sweet-Williams is founder, designer, and lifelong lover of fashion. Brought up surrounded by fabric, thread, and the hum of her grandmother’s sewing machine, she was deeply inspired by her and a fascination for the transformative power of clothing.

From her very first stitches at age twelve to dressing brides and VIP clients across London and beyond, Charlotte Sweet has built her career on a love of craftsmanship, detail, and individuality.

After studying Fashion Womenswear at college and university, Charlotte honed her technical skills working at Selfridges Atelier, tailoring and fitting garments for some of the world’s leading luxury brands. She then joined Net-a-Porter, where she not only perfected couture-level alterations but also founded the company’s VIP tailoring service — working closely with high-profile clients and private stylists to ensure every piece fit flawlessly.

In 2015, Charlotte launched her own label, Sewn Right, offering high-quality alterations and repairs that celebrated sustainability and the art of making clothes fit beautifully. As her reputation and team grew, so too did the demand for bespoke design. By 2021, the business had evolved into what it is today — Charlotte Sweet, a luxury atelier dedicated solely to the creation of one-of-a-kind gowns and made-to-measure pieces for women who value artistry and individuality.

Each design begins with a conversation — an idea, a sketch, a spark — and from there, Charlotte works personally with every client through fittings, fabric choices, and the final hand-stitched details. Her perfectionism, paired with an intuitive understanding of proportion and silhouette, ensures every piece feels like an extension of the wearer.

Known for her contemporary yet timeless aesthetic, Charlotte’s work reflects a true love of fine fabrics, couture construction, and creativity without compromise. The result is an intimate, joyful design process — and gowns that are as personal as the stories behind them.
